This illustrator has been hiding some strange things in children’s books

He clearly had some fun.

Anything to make homework a little more interesting.

Twitter users have spotted some things in a series of kids’ books that are a little off, to say the least.

These little ‘easter eggs’ first came to light yesterday when Twitter user Ed Brody shared that he had spotted some “dubious scenes” in the background of an illustration in his friend’s child’s book, one of the Biff, Chip and Kipper series.

It looks like whatever the men are up to in the bushes (we’ll let you come to your own conclusions on that) has really startled the old lady, but the book’s publisher has claimed that there’s nothing to see there.

That didn’t stop other Twitter users from pointing out that the Biff, Chip and Kipper illustrator had snuck some other slightly odd things into the series.

One has a word hidden in the picture…

While another featured an unexpected guest at a royal event.

The books were illustrated by Alex Brychta, who was given an an MBE in 2012 for his services to children’s literature in 2012, according to Metro.

The series is in fact part of the primary school curriculum in the UK and has surely given many parents a giggle.

They’re far from the only kids’ books to have certain things hidden in them over the years, by the looks of things.
