Jacqueline Jossa shares photo depicting her reality of motherhood

Motherhood is tough.

Despite all the posts we’re so used to seeing about balancing work and home life, loving your kids no matter what, and generally being able to take on whatever comes your way, this is not always the reality.

Being a parent is hard, and sometimes you do just feel a bit shit – and that’s okay.

One person who knows exactly how okay that is Jacqueline Jossa.

The EastEnders star took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and her daughter, Ella, saying that sometimes motherhood could make her feel a bit “low.”

She wrote:

“As a mother I barely have time to put makeup on or wear a cute outfit without rushing here there and everywhere and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

“This is me, poorly, sleepy, pregnant and make up free this morning!! One of them ones where you feel even more unwell cos you look so bad.”

Jossa went on to say that she wanted to post the photo to show that we all feel “ugly and low” sometimes.

She said:

“Let’s still take photos and memory’s we will keep forever. Hopefully I look a bit more presentable tomorrow.”

The EastEnders actress recently announced that she was expecting her second child with husband, Dan Osborne.

The 25-year-old, who plays Lauren Branning on the BBC soap, said that the pregnancy had been a “huge shock” for them both.

Jossa is due to exit the soap this month.
