Jennifer Garner shares hack for keeping kids occupied when working from home
Handy to know.
A lot of parents now have the option of working from home but it's not all that it's cracked up to be.
While you might think working from home would be more relaxing the reality is if you have kids in the house it's going to be a lot harder than working in the office.
Actress and mum Jennifer Garner knows this all too well but she's devised a system for keeping her kids entertained while she works and it's actually pretty clever.
Both my husband and I sometimes work from home so I was interested to see when Jennifer's handy hack is.
The mother of three posted her tip for keeping the kids entertained to her Instagram along with photographs of it.
"If your house has run out of fun ('Mom, I’m bored ') here’s an idea: my kids (plus one crafty nanny ) made little construction paper animals and hid them, taped on walls, all over the house. An alligator behind the kitchen sink, a sloth hanging below the TV, a sheep in the powder room," she wrote. "They were busy and happy for a long time, and finding the animals is."

If your house has run out of fun here at the end of the summer (Mom, I’m bored 😑) here’s an idea: my kids (plus one crafty nanny 🏆) made little construction paper animals and hid them, taped on walls, all over the house. An 🐊 behind the kitchen sink, a sloth hanging below the tv, a 🐑 in the powder room. They were busy and happy for a long time, and finding the animals is 🤩😊😂. PS. There is now a control panel next to my son’s bed that I use to power him down at night. It is ⭐️⭐️⭐️. #ihadnothingtodowithanyofthis #iwasparentingachicken #wehavetohelpeachothergettolaborday❤️😂
So simple but so clever.
I'm definitely going to try this one out the next time I'm working from home. While Jennifer shared this during the summer season, the Christmas holidays are right around the corner. So, instead of making animals, why not try Christmas trees or elves to make it that bit more festive.
