She has been praised for the candid post.

Khloe Kardashian has responded to critics who she says mummy-shamed her over how she feeds her daughter, True.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and NBA player Tristain Thompson welcomed their daughter in April this year – and she has been keeping fans updated on her parenthood journey ever since.

She previously talked about a product she had been using to supplement True’s feedings, which she says was a “total lifesaver”.

She posted on her app:

“Technically, I don’t need something like this because I breastfeed, but because I don’t produce enough milk, I also have to give a bottle with every feeding.

“And, with the formula I use, I have to give True the bottle within 30 minutes of making it, so it’s amazing to have this machine make it for me. It’s super easy to use — and fast, so when I’m exhausted and can’t even keep my eyes open in the middle of the night, it’s a total lifesaver.”

One of her followers took to Twitter to praise her for the candid post, explaining how she had to do the same.

The social media user added:

“Mad respect to @khloekardashian for opening up about supplementing with formula.

“I had to do that when i went back to work, and i was so embarrassed that i couldn’t produce enough because i was away from jackson. fed is best!”

Khloe responded to her fellow mum, talking about how mummy-shaming is “real”.

She continued:

“But the truth is I’ve tried and tried and tried to breast feed only and it wasn’t working for me.

“I feel fortunate that I am able to still breast-feed but with the help of formula. Breast-feeding is something I really wanted to do. Just am not fully able.”
