Most little ones love playing with mud, but not many Mums enjoy the mess that comes with it.
This recipe for CLEAN mud (yes, you read right) is a perfect outdoor or indoor activity that will keep everyone happy. Not only does it feel like the real deal but it won’t make a dirty mess – just a clean one.
There are more complicated recipes using grated soap and toilet paper, but this quick, no-fuss version uses just three ingredients; plus, it washes away to nothing.
Ingredients:
- Bicarbonate of soda
- Water
- Food colouring
Method:
- Put about a cup of bicarbonate of soda into a bowl, then add water very slowly until you have a mud-like texture.
- Add a couple of drops of food colouring and squeeze the mud to distribute the colour.
- Once the colour is evenly distributed, form into a ball and set aside so you can make up other colours.
