Kym Marsh says she’s taken the decision to ‘not have any more children’

The Coronation Street star revealed she’s undergone a procedure to prevent her from having more children.

Kym Marsh has spoken openly about her decision to undergo a procedure to ensure she can’t have any more children. The actress says she came to the decision after losing her son Archie just minutes after he was born and after a very difficult pregnancy with her youngest daughter, Polly.

Kym appeared on Lorraine and said that her last pregnancy was one of many complications and said that she couldn’t put her family and herself through that again.

“I took the decision to not have any more children and made that decision after I had Polly. Because I almost lost Polly several times throughout that pregnancy as well.

“She was born very early, she was born seven weeks prematurely but thankfully she’s OK. But it was traumatic.

“I was lucky enough to have the three children that I’ve got and I didn’t want to run the risk of [losing another child].”

Kym is reported to have had an ablation of the womb which removes the thin tissue layer of the lining of the uterus.

Kym is already mum to 23-year-old David, 19-year-old Emily, and six-year-old Polly, however, tragically lost her son Archie back in 2009 shortly after he was born.
