Mom hack level 1,0000.
A mum’s method of keeping her husband awake in the delivery room has gone viral.
Last month, Samantha Mravik-Miller took to Facebook to share a photo from the hospital – and revealed that she had packed a Nerf gun in her hospital bag, in a bid to make sure her husband didn’t fall asleep while she was up with their newborn.
“Worried about the nights in the hospital with your newborn & dad sleeping,” she began the post. “Well… then don’t forget one of these in your hospital bag.”
“I packed it because when my 5-year-old was born my husband slept through him crying in the hospital,” the mum-of-three told Romper of the toy, which she borrowed from her sons.
And it looks like her idea has really struck a chord with other parents.
The post has gotten thousands of comments from mums who have found themselves in similar situations – or who are keen to avoid them themselves.
“I want this as a push present,” one person wrote, while another added, “I know what we’re getting.”
“Threw 2 shoes at my husband to get him to wake up,” a different mum said. “First night at the hospital after a c section and I couldn’t get out of bed easily.”
