Mum shares her hack for cleaning ball pit balls and it’s such a time-saver

How have I never thought of this?

Recently I spotted someone talking in a parenting group that they had watched Stacey Solomon on social media wash her child’s ball pit balls one by one.

Reading this made me think two things. One that sounds exhausting. Two, how often is everyone else washing their kids ball pit balls?

I’m going to be honest, when they’re not in the pit they are everywhere. In the shower, under the sofa and more often than not the cause of a tripping accident.

There’s so many of them and so little time, how do other mums get them all washed without losing their sanity. Well according to this one mum who shared her hack like this.

Yes, chuck them into the washing machine.

It seems so simple but honestly I never thought of just whooshing the whole lot of them into the washing machine and being done with it.

Thankfully I wasn’t the only parent who hadn’t gotten the memo as many others commented that the idea had never crossed their mind;

” Now I feel bad for never cleaning my daughter’s ball pit.”

Other mums however were well in on the hack;

“In my house if it can’t be cleaned in the dishwasher or washing machine, it’s not coming in.”

Noted.

Other mums added to the cleaning hack with more helpful tips;

“Mine came in a net mesh bag thing so I just chuck them in the washing machine in that, then peg the whole bag on the line! Works a treat!”

The days can be stressful as a parent so if there’s any little tips and tricks that can make life a little bit easier we’ll happily take them all.

Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to put a load into the wash.
