More mums are being encouraged to add ‘pregnancy’ to their CVs

When mothers return to the workplace after having a baby they’re sometimes left with a ‘gap’ on their CV. New mothers often feel pressure to explain this ‘childcare gap’ to prospective employers and many feel unfairly judged when they return to work.

The Pregnancy Pause is an innovative way for mothers to fill any gaps in their resumes that can sometimes lead to them being overlooked.

It allows mums to fill the ‘experience’ section of their Linkedin profile with the important title of ‘mother’ and ‘The Pregnancy Pause’ is listed as the organisation.

Prospective employers who click the link will find a page that explains how maternity leave policies in the U.S. often make mothers feel forced to leave their jobs.
