Pink explains why she chooses to raise her kids in a gender-neutral environment

“It’s the kind of house I want to live.”

Pink is the proud mother of two children, six-year-old Willow and 15-month-old Jameson, and has previously spoken about choosing to raise her children as gender-neutral.

The singer has been subject to much criticism for that, however, Pink (real name Alecia Moore) is now sharing her reasons why.

“I feel like gender-neutral is in itself a label and I’m label-less,” she told People in her interview after being named their Most Beautiful Woman of 2018.

“I don’t like labels at all so I believe that a woman and a girl can do anything… and I believe that a boy can do anything.

“So, I have boy friends that flip dirt bikes and I have boy friends that wear dresses. It’s all OK with me.

“It’s whatever floats your boat. So that’s the kind of house that we live in.”

Pink has previously spoken about the criticism she has received over the years for her look and gave an inspiring speech at the MTV Video Music Awards last year about staying true to who you are.

“I told my girl, ‘Do you see me growing my hair?’ She said, ‘No, mama.’

“I said, ‘Do you see me changing my body?’ ‘No, mama.’

“’Do you see me changing the way I present myself to the world?’ ‘No, mama.’

“So, baby girl. We don’t change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl.

“And we help other people to change so they can see more kinds of beauty.”
