It’s a firm favourite in my house too.

Reading to your children at bedtime has all sorts of benefits, and it looks like it comes to this lovey parenting task, royals are just like us regular folks.

And recently, dad-of-three, Prince William, revealed the one book that always goes down a treat when himself or his wife, the Duchesss of Cambridge, reads out loud to their kids, George, 5, Charlotte, 3, and little Louis, 5 months.

What book is it, you may wonder? The Gruffalo.

“The proud dad revealed The Gruffalo was ‘a hit’ with his young children, as he met with the book’s author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler at The Tusk Rhino Trail outside his home at Kensington Palace,” Hello! Magazine reports.

“I know who you are. It’s a big hit in our household, The Gruffalo,” William reportedly told Julia and Axel, explaining the family could see their rhino when he looked out the palace windows.

“It’s amazing, I love it. You can tell it’s you guys. It’s the eyes I think, you can always tell the eyes.”

The Tusk Rhino Trail is an interactive art installation which aims to raise awareness of wildlife conservation and World Rhino Day, and twenty-one rhino sculptures now lurk in prominent places in London, all decorated by notable types, including this royal approved one right outside Kensington Palace.
