Pupils made to ‘line up in the rain’ to check for supermarket uniform

Parents were left furious.

A school in the UK made pupils line up outside so that teachers could do a full uniform inspection.

Teachers at Kepier School in Houghton colour-matched each student’s trousers to ensure they bought them from the authorised shop.

Students quickly took pictures of the incident which left parents furious when they realised the school had kept their children out in the rain to ensure they hadn’t bought cheaper alternative uniforms.

Students who were found not to be wearing the sanctioned trousers and shirts were punished by the school.

The school also expected pupils to wear school shoes that could be polished.

Parents argued that while they understood the need to buy the school’s own ties and blazers, they could not understand the reasoning behind banning cheaper alternative school trousers and shirts.

Some children were even turned away from school after being dropped off by their parents, leaving them to stay in an “issolation room” for the day.
