The reason why I won’t be getting rid of my hooded baby towels, ever!

I’m currently moving home, so the subject of what to keep and what to chuck comes up a lot.

Recently we were sorting through what bed linen and towels we no longer needed anymore and my husband picked up the hooded baby towels and said ‘we can get rid of these’. Oh no, we absolutely can not!

He couldn’t understand why I wanted to hold onto old, off white towels that both of our children have grown out of but I’ll tell you why. They are my favourite towels ever!

I have very thick, curly hair and I’ve struggled with many a small towel when trying to wrap my hair up after a shower. Even the cloth turban style wraps made for exactly this purpose can’t contain my mane.

A few years ago when my son was a toddler I decided to start using his baby towels for my hair and I have never looked back.

The hood part of the towel fits perfectly around the back of my head, leaving just the right amount of towel left to wrap and secure the beast that is my hair.

Often when I talk about parenting products I like to mention their longevity but seriously if you have some baby towels lying around give them a go for your hair. You will get years more use out of them than you ever thought.
