WOW, This New Breastfeeding Craze May Not Be For Everyone

Amanda Cassidy

Mum’s have found a new way to celebrate their breastfeeding challenges.

They are turning to ink.

Breastfeeding tattoos are the new form of expressing their passion about their nursing journey.

Some mums say it is a way to remember forever:

“My tattoo is a daily reminder of motherhood and my breastfeeding journey – over three and a half years so far. It has been a big part of my life as a mother and has made me passionate about helping other mums meet their breastfeeding goals.” Deirdre

Psychologist Sharon Draper, author of Stuck in the Mud, says the tattoos can be beneficial, as they can remind mums of the strength they found during breastfeeding.

“It’s a form of self-expression to show the world how proud they are of something they believe in”

We can see how popular it is becoming if you look online.

Deirdre says it is something she will always have:

“I had provided hundreds of litres of milk for my own three children and had helped feed three others, so it was something that I felt passionate about and wanted to remember forever”

What do you think mamas? A lovely way to commemorate your breastfeeding journey or sentimentality gone too far?
