“How many more sleeps?”
Are your kids driving you slowly up the wall waiting for Santa to arrive?
Fear not, all you need is some activities up your sleeve – to make the wait a little more manageable – for all of you.
1. Make a pillow fort
Sofa cushions, blankets, pillows – get stuck in, everybody loves a pillow fort!
2. Take a walk
Bonus, if it is getting dark, you can spot for Santa’s sleigh in the sky!
3. Play dress up
If you don’t have a dress-up box, let them raid your wardrobe.
4. Treasure hunt
Hide small items or toys around the house, give them clues and watch them go!
5. Puzzles
Get everyone involved, especially if you are going one with lots of pieces.
6. Have a dance party
Put on your favourite tunes and bust some moves!
7. Make play dough
Pinterest is full of recipes.
8. Paint in the bathtub
Use shaving foam with a few drops of food colouring added.
9. Go to the library and get some new books
Learning to love to read is a gift.
10. Do some colouring
Or, if you feel really brave, get the paint out.
11. Bake something
‘Tis the season, after all.
12. Host a family game night
Make it a new tradition – it will become a night you all look forward to.
13. Camp out in your living room
Get out the sleeping bags and make yourself comfy!
14. Play a game of ‘I Spy’
A real lifesaver for the car if you are travelling this Christmas.
15. Make some jewellery
Pasta or Cheerios will work perfectly.
