Paul Mahon is a Dublin-based visual artist, filmmaker and brand new dad. Together with his partner, the womenswear designer Zoe Carol Wong, he welcomed baby daughter Zelda earlier this year and will be Vlogging daily for HerFamily.ie about his experiences.
“I have always documented my life. I’ve taken hundreds of hours of footage and thousands of photos. Lately however I’ve got a new reason to tell a story and to share it with the world: I’m now a dad.
And that’s why I’ve decided to Vlog it all: Fatherhood in Ireland in 2016.
I’m really going into this task of parenthood totally blind. Seriously; I stuck to my word and I didn’t really learn much stuff about babies or before the birth. This way we know the Vlog will be both a learning experience for both myself and a fun insight into real-life daddyhood for you, the viewer. Plus, hopefully it’ll be something fun for my kid to see in years to come.
