lime pregnancy

Welcome to week 11 of your pregnancy!

This week, your baby is as big as a zesty lime. Here’s what else you can probably expect during week eleven of being pregnant.

Your baby

Baby is the size of a lime this week, but looks out of proportion because the head and body are about the same size. A tongue and palate have formed in the mouth. Fingernails and hair follicles are also appearing, and even the buds that will become teeth are in place. The liver starts making red blood cells, and by the end of this week your baby will start developing its external genitalia.

You at 11 weeks pregnant

Niggling headaches are still lingering and that stuffy nose you noticed in recent weeks hasn’t gone away. Pregnancy rhinitis is a surprisingly common symptom of early pregnancy — and unfortunately can last the duration! You could be using a lot of saline sprays over the coming months. If you’re still feeling exhausted ensure your iron levels have been checked.
