3 easy cellulite-busting hacks that that will visibly reduce those dimples

These tricks actually work

The latest theory spins around it also having to do with your connective tissue being dehydrated. The connective tissue is basically the spongy bit around your muscles, and when the collagen here is damaged, it makes this tissue loose its shape and getting “stretched out”.

Getting rid of cellulite completely is pretty much impossible, but there are some things you can do to greatly improve the appearance of it. Starting with:

1. Dry Brushing

If you want really, really lovely skin – and to diminish the appearance of your cellulite in the process, you need to get into the habit of dry brushing your skin every morning.

Dry brushing will stimulate circulation and break up fluids beneath your skin, leaving a smoother appearance. Massaging your skin like this will also jump-start lymphatic drainage, which helps to eliminate toxins that can accumulate in the fat layer. It is these toxins that can result in inflammation and ultimately worsen the look of your cellulite.

Bonus: Dry brushing will also help you get rid of all the dead skin cells of the surface of your skin, which will help any product you apply penetrate deeper and work more effectively.

2. Sisley Cellulinov Intensive Anti-Cellulite Body Care

There are limits to how much any cream or serum can permanently help when it comes to cellulite, but having healthy, taut and smooth skin will absolutely make your cellulite look far less pronounced.

Applying a cream containing caffeine and/hyaluronic acid may help to tauten the skin and disguise cellulite for up to eight hours.

And this (oh-so-pricey) cream has beauty editors all over the world swooning, which is a surefire sign of something actually delivering results.

3. Try the Victoria Secret’s Angels Trick

If toning fails, (as a short-term solution) tanning will absolutely help. Tanned skin makes cellulite far less visible, and will overall make you appear slimmer and firmer.

Another trick used by American makeup artist Stephanie Flor, who preps Victoria Secret’s models for their famous runway show (yes, that’s right, models get cellulite too!), is to dust a little body shimmer (or shimmery body oil) down the front of the leg. This, she promises, will attract light to this part of the leg, and will make any lumps and bumps on the thighs and hips become much less obvious.

Now; where’s that bikini?!
