Apparently this is the age we’re supposed to stop shopping at Zara

Cathy Donohue

Sorry, WHAT?!

Now, before we go any further, let us say that we firmly believe that people should shop wherever they want to, regardless of their age.

That said, people are pretty interested in recent research which suggests that there’s a certain cut-off point for shopping at the extremely popular high-street store.

Research conducted by consumer analysis agency Insight Rooms found that Zara is all the rage for those aged 23-27 but then it starts to drop off and by 33, “engagement falls to below 1%”.

Speaking to Who What Wear, Ed Dilworth, CEO of Insight Rooms, said that Zara skews young “but the looks include more conservative and classic styles that stretch up into that older range more than the youth brands”.

According to this research, the median age is 25 with this suggesting that its popularity drops off from that age onwards.

To be honest, we’re having none of this because we know just how obsessed our readers (and us too) are with all things Zara but it’s interesting research all the same…
