The ethereal-looking actress stood out a mile at the annual Oscar award ceremony in LA last night. And not just for her beautiful bump, but her choice of two bump-appropriate frocks for the pre-Oscar Chanel dinner and the main event at the Dolby Theatre.
The actress is expecting her first child with her Oscars date, husband James Righton.
Critics (yes, already) were up in arms about her ‘unflattering’ layered back and white Chanel dress for the dinner, but we can’t help but feel refreshed and slightly in awe that she didn’t feel the need to wear something body-skimming and skin-revealing (like so many of her peers when it comes to dressing for black-tie events).
For the Oscar show, she floated down the red carpet in the only elegant way she knows how – nailing a feminine, floaty Valentino look. The dress was finished with a waifer-thin floral crown; elegant and pretty, just like her.
Sadly, the actress didn’t take home an Oscar for her Best Supporting Actress role in The Imitation Game. But, in a few months time, she gets to take home the ultimate prize from hospital.
