Bridal Alert: THIS Is The Most Pinned Wedding Dress Of All Time

I got married four months ago, and am still so in love with my wedding dress that I sneak a peek at it every few days – just to touch it (and give myself a mental pat on the back over what excellent taste I have).

Back in the day when I was still looking for my dress, Pinterest quickly became my new best friend. I would joyfully spend hours upon hours flicking through a sea of flowing lace and chiffon, one dress more dreamy than the next. And even when I got as far as actually visiting bridal shops to try things on, I would make them look at my carefully edited Pinterest board for inspiration before even showing me anything.

And trust me; it can be hard to narrow down your search when the selection is as vast as the one you will find on Pinterest. And if it is hard for the bride-to-be to find The One, I would imagine it must be equally tricky for the designers and makers, trying to make your dress so pretty it stands out amongst the millions of images of equally beautiful dresses.

But one lesser-known Australian brand, Grace Loves Lace, has done exactly that. The label recently reached cult status with one of its designs, the ‘Hollie’ being named ‘most pinned wedding dress ever’.

The now sold-out style, which features a plunging back lace body, delicate spaghetti straps and layers of flowing chiffon received 2.5 million pins on Pinterest and the brand sold 2000 copies of the handmade dress before halting production due to the one-of-a-kind lace running out. The dress, which founder Megan Ziems originally made for and named after her sister, reached the height of notoriety after Millie Mackintosh was pictured wearing it to the reception of her 2013 wedding to Professor Green.

The boutique bridal label, which launched in 2010, cleverly tapped into this serious dress obsession by producing a ‘Hollie 2.0’ version of the dress, a slightly updated style that features added lace detail to the straps and extra length added to the floral lace underskirt.

The ‘Hollie 2.0’ updated version of the dress retails at £1,300, and is designed in an almost identical style to the original.
