Glitter sun creams are now a thing and your kids are about to go crazy for it

Summer is looking sparkly AF

Summer is looking sparkly AF.

No, really, itr’s true.

Because now you can actually lay your hands on suncreen with glitter in it.

Never mind just slime and playdough with glitter, now your kiddos can actually smear themselves head to tow in glitter – and all in the name of sun protection.

Cue everyone is going to want to hit the beach ASAP.

The hype was sparked by Sunshine & Glitter’s Seastar Sparkle line, which comes in rainbow, gold and pink glitter. (Because why should you only sparkle one way when you can in three?)

Naturally, the phenomomen was created in the US (where else?), but we are hoping (or are we?!) that the sparkly sun creams will be available on our shores soon too.

And before you think these are some kind of play things and that you actually need to bring some real SPF too, think again. Because not only are the Sunshine & Glitter products SPF 50, they are also water-resistant for up to 80 minutes and is cruelty-free, paraben-free, BPA-free and loaded with antioxidants.

Yup, that’s right. This is good glitter, apparently.

In fact, the makers even go as far as saying heir glitter is non-metallic and the products are safe to use on the face, but be aware that if you have a history of allergic or sensitive skin, it’s good to test a bit of the product on first.

What do you think, mamas? Could you see your kids being excited about this?
