It sounds like a dream.

Who wouldn’t want to live by the Mediterranean? The sunshine, the salty breeze, the laid-back vibes, the food? We’d trade in our city lives here in a heartbeat for a chance to live the Mediterranean dream.

But while moving to Spain or Italy or the French Riviera might not be happening right now for most of us (there is always retirement, guys!), at least Mango is giving us the chance now to get a taste of that Mediterranean lifestyle – right here in Ireland.

The Spanish fashion giant is about to launch its very first homeware collection – hitting their online stores in just three days! And according to the retailer, the pieces will be strongly influenced by ‘the Mediterranean lifestyle and culture.’

The first homeware line, which will be available exclusively at Mango.com, will have a focus on textile products for different rooms, initially starting with the bedroom, living room and bathroom, the company said in a press release.

Products for the kitchen and dining room will launch for autumn/winter 2021.

Toni Ruiz, Mango CEO, stated:

“Our customers are asking us for products for their homes. They want the same comfort and style they look for in clothes to decorate the rooms of their homes.”

Ruiz reveals that the collection will follow a clean and refined Mediterranean style with a contemporary design combining neutral colours. Quality and attention to detail remain key elements of each product, and we can expect to see bed linen, duvet covers, cushions, blankets, towels and bathrobes, as well as candles and mikados (reed diffuser air fresheners).

Mango’s Chief Creative Officer, Jan Rivera, revealed that stepping into homeware is a ‘natural evolution’ for the company, and one that aligns with its sustainability goals.

Amazingly, the entire line of textile products will be sustainable and 80 percent of the items will be produced locally, reinforcing Mango’s commitment to sustainability.

Now, who’s counting down with us?!
