Nursery no more: 10 cute kids room buys for when your toddler outgrows her baby room

Is your little one about to outgrow the gorgeous (but very baby-ish) nursery you so carefully decorated not all that long ago?

The thing about kids is that they grow really flipping fast (somebody slow down time, please!), and so I don’t know about you, but when it comes to decorating their rooms, I have always gone for a fairly neutral base (white walls, wooden floors), and instead opted to chop and change the pieces that are not too expensive and much easier to swap out than paint and wallpaper.

Cushions, rugs, posters and other little decor bits are easy ways to update a kids room, without breaking the bank or taking up too big a chunk of your time.

I am obsedded with H&M Home when it comes to decor in general, but especially for kids rooms. I love how colourful all their bits are, and how easy it is to create a really adorable kids room for not much money at all.

Right now, I am loving these fresh hues and gorgeous bits, and am planning on adding a few of these to my cart for my little girl’s room:

1. Hopscotch-print cotton rug
