Redecorating? THIS is the colour experts predict we’ll all be obsessed with in 2019

Thinking about giving your home a fresh new look this autumn?

Yup, us too. There is something about being on the cusp of winter and lots of time spent indoors that always makes us want to ‘hygge’ up the place a bit.

And if you are feeling like a colour change, you might be interested to know which hue experts predict we will all become obsessed with come next year.

Drumroll please:

Say hello to Blueprint – the rather dreamy colour US paint specialist Behr predicts will be on everyone’s lips (and walls) in a few months.

According to the paint brand, the color is one they describe as “an honest, approachable color,” characteristics we can definitely get behind.

In general, blues are commonly known for their calming effect, and you have got to admit, this colour does indeed look very soothing and ‘hygge’ inducing, no?

Speaking to interior website Domino, Erika Woelfel, Behr color expert, explains: “This is a color that is a fine balance between too dark, too light—it’s sort of the right saturation, the right depth, it’s not a gray, but it still has a complexity, a character, a personality all of its own.

She continues:

“So, it’s very accessible, our colors are meant to be accessible, friendly, and livable. And it has to be able to work with other colors, so you can layer in a second color, or a third color, or work it in with other neutrals.”

What do YOU think, guys? Ready for some more blue around the house?
