A wedding day is all about the happy couple… actually, a lot of people would argue that it’s really all about the bride.

So it might come as a surprise that her outfit isn’t the most challenging to organise. In fact, a survey has revealed that it is the mother of the bride that takes the most time to pick a dress.

The Mail Online reports that a UK study – conducted for retailer Simply Be – found that mothers of the bride take six more days than their daughters to choose an outfit for the special day.

That’s right, apparently brides take an average of 12 days researching their gown while their mums take 18 days.

Moreover, 1 in 5 start looking as soon as the engagement is announced with a third looking at 8 or more different ensembles before settling on one.

Considering that 90 per cent of mothers of the bride worry about their outfit, you can understand why they want to make sure they make the right choice.
