It was revealed earlier this week, following the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement, that the couple will live in Nottingham Cottage, a on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
The petite royal abode, known as “Nott Cott” to locals apparently, was previously home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who used the cottage as their London-base for almost three years after they first got married. Fast forward a few years, however, and the Cambridges, who are soon to be a family of five, have upgraded to the much roomier Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace – which boasts a whopping 22 rooms.
For Harry and Meghan, however, the much more modest two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage will be their starter home – and having trawled through some of Ms Markle’s old Instagram snaps of the Toronto home she just moved on from, we think she is more than able to take on the project of turning Harry’s bachelor pad into something pretty darn fabulous.
Just take a look at this cozy set up:
We spy a very trendy copy of Kinfolk Table:
How cute are Markle’s two rescue dogs, Bogart and Guy (who we heard have now also up sticks and moved to the UK, by the way):
She even has some pretty sexy art on her bedroom walls:
Peonies? Check. Diptyque candle? Check. Vogue coffee table book? Check.
Looks like Nottingham Cottage is in good hands, guys.
