Man Vs pink: why this dad lets his 5-year-old girl chose her own clothes

In a fight against pink and gender-biased marketing, a stay-at-home dad and blogger who “hates pinkification” put his three-year-old daughter in charge of her own wardrobe for a week.

And we’re all over the results.

Former TV producer Simon Ragoonanan talks about raising his five-year-old daughter in a colour-biased world on his blog, Man Vs. Pink.

He says: “I think little girls should aspire to be more than just princesses, that pink doesn’t have to be the only colour they like, and that all toys are gender neutral toys.”

With this in mind, he and his wife let their daughter choose her own outfits, and documents the amazing results on Instagram. Here is a selection of our favourites…
