We have a feeling this wedding dress trend will be huge in 2019

Cathy Donohue

We have a feeling this is going to be BIG.

Bridal Fashion Week 2019 took place recently and as always, this week-long celebration of wedding dresses showcased many of next season’s trends.

Much like Kate Middleton’s wedding dress back in 2011, it’s been predicted that Meghan Markle’s choice of bridal look will influence what future brides choose.

Of course, not everyone cares what the future royal will choose for her upcoming nuptials but the fact remains that a lot of people really do.

Some of the world’s leading global designers launched their upcoming bridal collections and princess-like dresses were bigger than ever before.

Opulent fabrics, cathedral-length trains, embellishment and lace, the level of detail is second to none with these brand-new wedding designs.

I mean, look at this stunning creation.

Backless? Tick. Beautiful lacework? Tick. Breath-taking train? Tick.

And this is another amazing piece. Bridal dresses just reached a new level of OMG gorgeous.

We love the fact that the Bardot style shoulder updates the trend, making it fresh and relevant for a new fashion season.

There’s also these stunning designs from Reem Acra. Full skirts and intricate embroidery won’t be for everyone but we are genuinely in love with the bridal looks leading the way for 2019.

This design from Theia even includes a crown/tiara and that’s it, there’s no getting away from the princess theme now.

Kerry native Don O’Neill is the creative director of Theia and we absolutely adore his big and bold bridal visions.
