Is your baby teething? This little hack will help them

How has no one thought of this before?

This is genius!

Comforting a teething baby is hard at the best of times. There is only so much Calpol you can give them and only so many Sophie the Giraffes that they can get through before it becomes too unbearable for them.

A mother in the States has come up with a clever hack for helping soothe her baby’s sensitive gums. Emelia Jackson filled a soother with water, stuck it in the freezer for a few hours, and voilá, a frozen soother was created!

Sharing the trick online, she said:

“Mom hack:
If your babies are teething, mamas put water in your soothie, and then put it in the freezer for a couple hours.
Seriously a life saver for teething mamas. He was so content with his cold binky”

Some parents had concerns about the ice melting and the baby drinking it but Emelia confirmed that there were no holes in the soother for this to happen.

“Since there are so many people freaking out thinking my little man is drinking the water,I want to show you that there is NO hole in this binky. And absolutely NO way for the baby to get the water.”

Someone else said that all you need to do if you have any concerns about the ice slipping out is keep an extra close eye on your baby as they suck on the soother. As the ice begins to thaw, or once it looks like it might fall out or melt, swap it for a new frozen soother.
