Nutritional therapist reveals what foods we should eat to keep us full for longer

You can still eat tasty things - hallelujah!

HerFamily

A nutritional therapist has revealed her top foods for keeping you fuller for longer (because let’s face it, there’s nothing worse than feeling hungry right after your breakfast or lunch).

Elsa Jones told HerFamily: “My top picks would be eggs, oats, nuts, low-sugar fruits, and natural greek yoghurt.

“Natural greek yoghurt has that protein element and it generally doesn’t have any sugar added. A nice option is pairing it with some berry fruits.”

In saying that, Elsa does not condemn snacking between meals but stressed the importance of choosing healthy options.

She said: “Snacking can be beneficial, especially if you have breakfast early. I generally recommend not going for longer than 3-4 hours without eating something.

“Again, good options include nuts (a palmful is a portion) and a piece of fruit or an oatcake with nut butter or natural yoghurt. With snacks, the trick is to have healthy snacks close to hand.”

So there you have it, we’re off to the shops to stock up on all of the aforementioned foods!
