If you are anything like us, you are thinking of heading abroad as you like to be guaranteed some heat and sunshine for your vacay.

And we got you, mamas. Forget about expensive, cramped hotel rooms or dingy holiday apartments. 1. Ibiza

This beautiful stylist-designed villa with a pool is situated near Sant Llorenc de Balafia, in the quiet north of Ibiza, 12 minutes from Ibiza town and 10 minutes from the coast. The peaceful location is surrounded by countryside, yet only 10 minutes from the nearest beach. The ground floor patio is a great relaxing space, as is the upper terrace, accessed through the master bedroom.

Also, the swimming pool is just in front of the patio, so you can watch the kids easily. The garden is safe for kids, and has lemon, avocado, pomegranate and orange trees.

2. Costa Brava

This beautiful beach apartment in Sant Feliu de Guixols is five minutes walk from the beach and includes airy living spaces, a deluxe bathroom and a playful kids bunk room. The decor, details, and modernist style make the apartment a cozy and unique place to stay with kids.

The vintage-style kitchen has been completely renovated and includes a Nespresso machine, juicer, dishwasher, microwave and washer-dryer for an easy family stay. With two master bedrooms and a kids bunk room, the apartment could work for a larger family or  two families traveling together.

3. Valencia

This luxury villa was built in the 19th century and restored in 2014. The residence has a fully-equipped kitchen, large bedrooms and modern bathrooms. Families love the swimming pool. There are three bedrooms so there is room for a nanny or aupair. There are large flat screened TVs in all bedrooms and the lounge area, which is very cosy and inviting.

The villas is great for kids of all ages. There are beaches 10 minutes away by car. There is a pool. Equipment can be provided for babies. The hosts can supply cribs and high chairs. The area nearby is great for biking or hiking.

4. Mallorca

This beautiful home with a pool in the southeast of Mallorca, 800m from the closest beach, includes plenty for kids plus a community playground and pool beside it. Perfectly set up for family stays, it has a fully equipped kitchen and family-sized dining area inside and out.

The spacious fenced garden is great for the kids, there are toys for kids under five and pool floats in the pool. Opposite the house, you will find a small community playground with a slide and swing; beside it is a very large community pool which you have also access to. Along with the upstairs master bedroom there is a master bathroom with a designer bathtub and outside walk-in shower. There plenty of room to relax in the luminous living space.

5. Catalonia

This architect-designed and owned minimalistic second-story apartment has a scenic outdoor terrace and sleeps up to six. It’s an excellent location for a family with children that like to explore, located in the heart of Girona, Spain’s historic medieval quarter.

The home has a serene, Zen-like atmosphere with smooth concrete floors, natural stone walls and wood and glass accents. The living room fireplace can be enjoyed from inside or on the outdoor terrace, which has a high railing safe for little ones and ample space to play hopscotch or blow bubbles. The pleasant kitchen offers a communal area for the whole family to plan their city adventures over breakfast.
