Travel with kids: The easy packing trick that’ll keep their suitcases organized for the entire trip

suitcase packing trick

Planning a trip abroad for the midterm?

It inevitably happens. Two days into the trip and your kids’ suitcases (and possibly your own too) are already a total mess, where everything has been pulled out and just crammed back in again, as they (or you) desperately searched for a top to go with the shorts, or those blue swimming trunks your toddler suddenly decided he cannot go to the pool without.

Chaos. Total and utter chaos. And now you have to try and get through however many days is left of your holidays with everything in disarray, nobody knowing or keeping tabs anymore over what has been used and what is still clean.

Sounds familiar? I know.

But it doesn’t have to be this way, mums.

Here is a genius tip I recently came across on PureWow, that I am totally planning on stealing for our next family holiday:

The next time you’re packing for a trip, instead of simply laying everything out on a bed, then packing it into their suitcases – try this:

Separate each outfit into a clear plastic bag, and label it by the day of the week it’s to be worn.

Not only does this help prevent over-packing, but it also makes it a breeze to get everyone dressed quickly when you’re on the go. And not only that – you are also keeping full control over what outfit has already been work and needs to be washed, and what clothes are still fresh and good to be put on.

One small step toward making packing easier, one giant leap for mums who want to travel and control the chaos at the same time.
