A living legend.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has become a name we’re all familiar with since Russia invaded Ukraine last week, but it seems his career is a lot more diverse than other political leaders.

Zelensky took over as President of Ukraine in 2019 but prior to this, his career was in the entertainment industry, which has gotten him a lot of praise on social media.

The former comedian and actor rose to fame on a number of comedy shows, but one clip that has resurfaced has the world in awe of him.

Not only did he make a reality show appearance, but Zelensky won Ukraine’s version of Dancing With The Stars back in 2006, with the clip doing the rounds on social media.

Fans on everything from Twitter to TikTok have been obsessed with Zelensky’s dance moves, with one number seeing him and his partner Olena Shoptenko wearing blindfolds as they danced.

“I actually fainted tho [sic],” one Tik Tok user captioned a clip of Zelensky and Shoptenko performing.

The clip emerged only days after Hugh Bonneville, one of the stars of the Paddington franchise, revealed that Zelensky was the voice behind the Peruvian Bear in the Ukrainian versions of Paddington and Paddington 2.

“Until today I had no idea who provided the voice of @paddingtonbear in Ukraine. Speaking for myself, thank you, President Zelenskiy. #PaddingtonBear,” he said in a tweet, alongside a video of Zelensky.

Taking part in different comedy and TV shows during his career, Zelesky’s most notable title is his role in the 2015 TV series Servant of the People, where he played a teacher who becomes President of Ukraine, something that ended up becoming a reality only four years later.
