ABBA fans, we have some heartbreaking news.

We would say listen up, but you might not want to for this one as the band are already planning to split for good.

The Swedish group has revealed that once their latest album is released, that will officially be the end of ABBA as we know them, devastating fans.

The once Eurovision winners got back together last month and stunned fans while doing so, already releasing new singles and an album on the way.

In an interview with The Guardian, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson confirmed they’ll be heading their separate ways for good once their new album Voyage is released.

“This is it,” Benny said. “It’s got to be, you know.”

Speaking about another interview they gave when he implied that the band was over before, he added: “I didn’t actually say that ‘this is it’ in 1982. I never said myself that Abba was never going to happen again. But I can tell you now: this is it.”

After heading on a brief tour last month, the band’s latest album is set to be released on November 5th with a hologram tour of the band starting next May.

In a statement, the band said: “To tell the truth, the main inspiration to record again comes from our involvement in creating the strangest and most spectacular concert you could ever dream of.

“We’re going to be able to sit back in an audience and watch our digital selves perform our songs on a stage in a custom-built arena in London next spring. Weird and wonderful!

“To all of you who patiently have followed us in some way or another these past decades: Thank you for waiting – it’s time for a new journey to begin.

“We simply call it Voyage and we’re truly sailing in uncharted waters. With the help of our younger selves, we travel into the future. It’s not easy to explain but then it hasn’t been done before.”
