A new gig!

This morning, Spencer Matthews left reality TV for live TV in his new career venture as a showbiz reporter for Good Morning Britain.

Taking to the screen at 7:10am this morning, Spencer presented his first segment to which he had some personal critiques to make post-show.

Reviewing his first performance, Spencer said “it’s a skill and it’s not easy” in reference to the gig as well as apologising for his “lack of experience” and “wooden performance”, noting that he hopes to loosen up and get better with time.

Many however, were quick to tell the star to not apologise and instead, congratulate himself for jumping into a new challenge and doing a fantastic job.

Spencer was taking over for previous entertainment presenter, Richard Arnold, as the entire show sees a shake-up, with Richard Madeley stepping in for Piers Morgan and Kate Garraway stepping in for Suzanna Reid.

Spencer jokingly said ahead of his new role that “not talking about myself” will feel “odd” but he’s excited to get back on TV after his majorly successful series Spencer, Vogue and Baby too which debuted on E4 earlier this year.
