Singer Hillary Scott has opened up about the heartache of going through a miscarriage last year and how her music helped her to deal.
The 30-year-old, who is in the band Lady Antebellum, revealed in an interview with Good Morning America that she feels that it’s an issue that is not talked about.
She said: “This is something that is still not talked about very often. I also feel like there’s this pressure that you’re supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened.”
Hillary, who has a 2-year-old daughter called Eisele Kaye with her husband Chris Tyrell, added that focusing on writing songs helped her.
Speaking about her latest single, Thy Will, she said: “I wrote this song in the middle of experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage so it was my most raw place that I could've ever been when this song truly poured out of me.”

As well as her music, the experience has also changed her as a mum. Hillary explained: “I’m a different mom to her now… I hug her a lot tighter.”
