Teens: Great starter beauty products for teenagers for their first makeup bag

Melissa Carton

I can still remember the items I had in my first makeup bag.

A fair few things I picked up free from magazines including my black eyeliner pencil and red and pink lip-glosses.

Like any true 2000s teen I had my Dream Matte Mousse foundation and a pink and purple eyeshadow and mascara from Boots No17.

I know what you’re thinking I must have looked only gorgeous. Hey I’ll have you know panda eyes and foundation that didn’t match your neck was very in at the time.

If you’re a teenager or you have a teenager that is starting to dabble in the world of cosmetics it’s not always easy to know what products would suit a starter makeup kit so I’ve put together a few suggestions on what I think would be some good products for a first makeup bag.

KASH Sculpt Customisable Set and Sponge – €59,95

Containing our super-soft, luxury Sculpting Sponge and a three-piece Sculpting Set bundle containing a highlighter, bronzer and blush that are customised to your skin tone.

Wet n Wild’s Very Black Mega Volume Mascara (€3.95)  is perfect for teens as it is infused with Vitamin E to illuminate, protect and moisturise lashes.

Their double ended eyebrow pencils (€2.50) are also a great product that any beginner makeup guru should have.

BYSK x Vogue 7-Piece Brush Set – €89

This is the ultimate glam toolkit for perfecting your makeup look whether you are a pro or a novice. Every brush has a beautiful matte finish in a gorgeous pink ombre pantone to make you feel fabulous every day!

The set comes complete with a beautifully presented velvet case which not only stores your brushes neatly to keep them clean but is the perfect size for storing all your favourite makeup products, so you are always ready to glam on the go!

Sculpted by Aimee Sultry Stories Eyeshadow Palette – €39

Featuring a versatile range of shades and formulas to define with our pigmented mattes, shine in the metallic shades and add colour with the super soft shimmers.

Finishes that work like a dream on all eye colours, shapes and sizes.

When it comes to the end of the day it’s always important to clean all the make up off to protect your skin.

A really popular choice with makeup and skincare bloggers, the Cleanse Off Mitt (€6.50) is a great way of taking off makeup that is gentle on skin. Simply wet with warm water to remove foundation and eyeshadow.
