As Bláthnaid’s due date edges closer and closer, the RTÉ star has teased the meaning behind her baby’s unique name.

The radio DJ announced she was expecting her first child with husband Charlie Moon earlier this year. She’s due to give birth in late June.

Speaking to Extra, Bláthnaid said that they do have a name picked out but aren’t going to reveal it just yet.

She said: “It’s not like too wacky or anything like that, it’s a cute name. We have the first name and the middle name and they’re both kind of like an homage to some family members.”

Bláthnaid is now in the final stages of her pregnancy and has fully embraced nesting mode.

Her final day presenting the National Lottery draw before she gives birth was Saturday.

After the show, she posted a series of photos of her in a long, sage green satin dress and she looked beautiful.

She captioned it: “Stretchy dresses for the final hurdle. Pull and Bear has been my go-to during my pregnancy… they have so many nice stretchy bits that I’ve been living in for the last few months. I’ve just been sizing up.”

Bláthnaid joked and said her baby is her co-host for now but she’ll be back to her solo duties in September.

“I’ll be presenting my last National Lottery draw with my co-host this Sat, I’ll be flying solo again in September.”
