RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley robbed at gunpoint while kids slept: the details so far

She was reportedly only concerned for her children.

Last night, reports emerged that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Dorit Kemsley had been robbed at gunpoint as her children were in bed.

Three home invaders reportedly entered her Encino home Wednesday night (just before 11pm local time) by breaking in through her children’s classroom as she and her 7-year-old son, Jagger, and 5-year-old daughter, Phoenix, slept.

According to the Daily Mail, Dorit woke to two of the men standing at the end of her bed and begged: “Don’t hurt my babies. Don’t kill me. I’m a mother.”

The publication says she was held at gunpoint during the 20-minute invasion.

Law enforcement sources told NBC News that the men said they were armed and ordered her to lead them to jewellery and other valuable items in the home. One of the suspects threatened to kill her, the sources said.

The home was reportedly ransacked of jewellery and handbags and the intruders took off with an estimated $1 million in goods.

Nobody was injured during the robbery and the men did not enter either of the children’s rooms, though Dorit is said to have been left “traumatised.”

Once the intruders left, she contacted police and her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley. He was still in London – where the couple had attended a family wedding together just days ago – at the time of the incident.

NBC News reports that LAPD’s Robbery Homicide division is now handling the investigation. The division investigates high-profile and celebrity-related cases.

Several of Dorit’s cast mates – Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna and Teddi Mellencamp – arrived to her home for support on Thursday.

Safety issues surrounding the RHOBH cast and their possessions had been discussed in the pre-taped reunion episode that aired just hours prior to the robbery.

Kyle’s Encino home was burglarised in 2017 while she and her husband were holidaying out of town. Again, an estimated $1 million worth of jewellery and accessories were taken.

The incident was mentioned during the reunion episode, where Kyle spoke of how diamond earrings gifted by her husband were stolen. Host Andy Cohen also brought up Lisa’s decision to broadcast her collection of vintage designer dresses stored in a detached garage at her home.

“I was very concerned after I saw that episode,” he said. “I texted you and said ‘get your s— out of the garage.’”

She admitted it wasn’t the smartest storage space and said the clothes are now kept at a specialised facility for vintage clothing.
