There’s a new device that’s like a fitbit for dogs to monitor their behaviour and health

Because dogs care about their step count too, you know?

If you have a dog, you’ll probably know just how much you love that dog.

The dog is nice, the dog is friendly, the dog is there for you when you get ghosted for the second time this month and just need something warm to hold.

The dog is good, the dog is loved, and the dog deserves their own version of a fitbit for Christmas.

How lucky for then them that one has just been invented. It’s called an Amino and it clips to dogs’ collars to monitor their movement, scratching, and barking. It also notes when your dog was last walked, how much they’re sleeping, and how active they are.

It’ll show how many calories they’ve burned while running around too so, you know, pure #fitspo vibes.

The gadget isn’t just about keeping track of your dog’s health though – it also monitors their behaviour to ensure that they’re not going to develop any behavioural issues.

Dogs who are given too much attention can often become complacent and act out due to a lack of structure.

They need to know who their master is and who to answer to.

If they don’t, they could get lazy and start soiling indoor areas – and nobody wants that tbh.

You can find out more about Animo here.
