Next week is Fertility Awareness Week.

Sims IVF and Rotunda IVF are delighted to announce that Irish radio and TV presenter Lottie Ryan will act as the Brand Ambassador for this year’s Fertility Awareness Week.

Each year, the two clinics raise awareness of different fertility issues and the campaign this year will run from July 20 to 27.

The theme of Awareness Week this year is #BeKindWithYourWords and aims to educate people about how seemingly innocent questions can be harmful and how instead to turn them into supportive actions.

With one in five families in Ireland experiencing fertility issues it’s important that we all become more involved in the conversation surrounding our fertility and reproductive health.

Speaking about the campaign, Lottie Ryan said:

“I am delighted to partner with Sims IVF and Rotunda IVF this year for the #BeKindWithYourWords campaign. I think the campaign will resonate with a lot of women who have been faced with fertility issues or feel pressure to start a family because they have reached a certain age. Fertility is often a taboo subject and over the next week we hope to initiate a conversation online about fertility to educate and empower others.”

More and more Irish couples looking into treatments such as IVF and egg freezing but many of us are still unclear about what our options are should we find ourselves struggling to conceive.

Fertility Awareness Week is a week dedicated to helping couples find the information that they need and help break down any barriers around using fertility treatments to start a family.
