A sun holiday could help speed up the process significantly, according to scientists.
And it's all to do with the weather.
We don't get much of it in Ireland so jetting off to embrace some sun could help if you're trying to start a family.
Apparently, increasing your sun exposure one month before you conceive can boost your chances of becoming pregnant by up to one-third.
Researcher Dr. Frank Vandekerckhove of the University Hospital Ghent studied the IVF results of more than 6,000 women, comparing the treatment dates with the weather at the time of conception and four weeks earlier.
Dry weather and high temperatures increased the odds of conceiving by 35 percent.
So how does it work? Well, Dr. Vandekerckhove suggests that a sunshine-induced Vitamin D boost might help a woman's eggs mature.
This means that the effects are likely to be the same for women hoping to get pregnant naturally.
