All of the above awkward chat could be totally avoided if you just had a non-alcoholic drink in your hand - but a lot of the time they're expensive and totally not worth the money considering they're, well, not actually alcoholic.
Enter the Lidl non-alcoholic wine. It's cheap and cheerful and available from Monday.
A delight, for all.
The supermarket chain will be launching three new non-alcoholic wines this coming Monday, November 11 - so if you're off the drink - or a non-drinker in general - they've got you fairly sorted.
There's a non-alcoholic cabernet sauvignon for €2.99, a non-alcoholic chardonnay for €2.99, and a non-alcoholic sparkling chardonnay for €2.99.
There's also a non-alcoholic mulled punch for like €1.79, for those who aren't mad on the taste of the grape-stuff, as well as some non-alcoholic IPA for €0.99.
A decent enough selection, in fairness.
