Whether talking us through the ups and down of London's gay scene, the highs and lows of long distance relationships or the ins and outs of growing up in Cork, the two lads demonstrate exceptional comic timing and a real flair for storytelling. Put simply, Kevin and PJ were born with funny bones, and as a result, they're two of the few friendship duos who were right in thinking they should start a podcast in their East London kitchen. While ostensibly using each episode to focus on a specific theme, Kevin and PJ are no strangers to going off on tangents and regularly use episodes as a platform to regale listeners with their own treasure trove of personal anecdotes. Adept at drawing their audience in, you couldn't feel like less of an outsider despite the fact you've been thrown in at the deep end and are expected to catch up and keep up with two old friends shooting the breeze over anything and everything. Charming, charismatic and natural in their ability to poke fun at both themselves and each other, Kevin and PJ have created an atmosphere which would compel most listeners to press subscribe in an instant. With episodes entitled Reeling in the Queers and Up(skill) to 90, the lads' conversations are peppered throughout with a mixture of Irish truisms, Cork expressions and what seems, at times, like their very own language. Oh, and as the podcast's name suggests, their very own mothers play more than a fleeting role in the success of the show. Alexa, play does your Does Your Mother Know. If you don't know, find out.
