She goes on to say: "I went on holiday, he promised me he’d 'look after' her and I came home to a dead pet."
Understandably, this is more of a running joke between the pair rather than some serious gerbil-based beef. Hattie isn't angry that Jordan let her gerbil die - she just wants to bring it up every now and again. Or all the time.
When Jordan first entered the castle, Hattie was posting pics of the pair all over her Instagram, sharing her excitement for her friend's new adventure.
"Can’t wait for you all to get to know @jordannorth1 one of my dearest pals," she said. "He might have killed my gerbil and left his beard shavings on the bathroom floor but he was the best housemate I ever had and you’re gonna love him as much as I do."
Of course, Jordan is currently living it up in the Welsh castle so we have yet to hear his side of the story.
We're going to go ahead and guess that an admission of guilt is coming soon.
