I’m a Celeb sparks Ofcom complaints after vomiting scenes on last night’s episode

“I can confirm that we received 37 complaints in relation to Jordan North vomiting.”

I’m A Celeb is no stranger to complaints, but it’s only two days in and they’ve already received a number of them after the first episode. And honestly, with reality TV if you don’t get complaints you’re doing something wrong!

Anyway, these specific complaints were made to OfCom in the UK following scenes of Jordan North vomiting were aired on the show.

The BBC Radio 1 DJ is afraid of heights, so of course the producers made him face his fear head on by challenging him to abseil down a cliff.

They may not have realised, however, just how afraid Jordan really was of heights, because in the footage on Sunday you can see the presenter get physically sick at the thought of the challenge.

During the trial, half of the cast were looking after the ropes at the bottom of the cliff, and the other half were supposed to abseil down. It was pretty clear though that Jordan felt really uncomfortable about the whole situation he was about to embark on.

The crew kept the cameras rolling as Jordan vomited in a nearby bush – which was not completely necessary to see, in fairness.

The show was watched by a massive 12 million people on opening night. An Ofcom spokesperson told The Sun: “I can confirm that we received 37 complaints in relation to Jordan North vomiting.”

Jordan faced his fears once again last night as he was chosen for the Bushtucker Trial and put in a pit with a load of snakes.

“That is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done in my life… ever,” he said after he had completed the task at hand. Fair play!
