SISTERS! The Hocus Pocus cast are reuniting for Halloween

Niamh Maher

It’s October 1st which means we’ve already watched Hocus Pocus eighteen times.

Look, we all know 2020 has been rough. It’s fair to say holiday traditions are going to change in the future but there’s one tradition that we won’t let go of. What better way to celebrate the month of October than to sit back, relax, and watch the souls of children be sucked out of their bodies in the quest for eternal youth?

It sounds weird when we explain it like that, but we’re talking about watching Hocus Pocus!

Die hard fans of the 1993 movie have been hoping for a reunion for years, and although we’ve seen no solid confirmation of a sequel, we can confirm that the Sanderson Sisters will be reuniting (for a good cause) this Halloween.

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimi, who played Winifred, Sarah and Mary in the cult classic, will join forces on Friday the 30th of October for a virtual fundraiser in aid of the New York Restoration Project.

What’s even better… we can all attend!

The New York Restoration Project was set up by Bette Midler to transform open space for communities across the five boroughs and yes, we don’t live in New York but the sisters are back together for the first time in years and we’ll do anything we can to attend (we’re secretly hoping they’ll put a spell on us).

So, grab your coven ladies and prepare for a ghoulish evening.

Tickets for ‘In search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Halloween Takeover‘ cost $10 (or €8.53) and can be purchased here.
