Dublin City Mum has posted the ultimate guide to online classes for children

Melissa Carton

There’s a lot!

Keeping the kids entertained right now is not always easy but luckily there are a lot of online resources for parents to use.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been keeping an eye out for as many of these resources as possible when I came across Dublin City Mum’s list and wow, it’s extensive.

This list is basically your one stop shop to everything there is to do with kids online and it’s an actual life saver for parents.

The list of online classes goes in chronological order from 9am all the way to 7pm, so there is stuff to keep them occupied all day.

There’s everything from home-school helps to fitness and mindfulness, as well as storytelling in the evening.

Creative, baking and music wise there’s no shortage of activities either with online classes from Mummy Cooks, Claphandies and Baby and Toddler music with Rainbow Phil.

The list also includes a variety of Instagram Lives that are regularly creating content for children so that’s another great avenue to look in to.

I’ve watched several story telling sessions and tutorials with my kids on Instagram Live since lockdown started and they really enjoy them.

Dublin City Mum, Avril explained why she created the list;

“We are all in this together! This post has been made by a mum who’s learning how to educated two small kids at home, and for all the parents who are doing the same. Throw away the schedules!

Lets create a new home learning experience that’s realistic and goes beyond worksheets and spelling tests.”

The full list is absolutely brilliant and is separated into individual categories depending on what you want to do with your kids.
