But it might mean saying hello to a fresh new beauty trend that's inspired by your cold coffee obsession. Cold brew hair is here and it's predicted to be the next big thing in hair colour this autumn and winter.

There's nothing like a new season to make you feel like switching up your look and this is the perfect antidote to summery, golden locks, plus a lot less stressful on your hair than blonde highlights or ombré. Cold brew hair is a rich, warm mahogany brunette that betrays the faintest of auburn or caramel tones.

It's a trend we've seen a lot already on social media this year and it was finally given a name by New York hairdresser Kimberly Bonondona. The look can be achieved through lowlights or balayage, depending on how subtle you want the breakdown of tones in your hair to be. Once you've gone for it, make sure to look after it as this is the sort of hair colour that just needs a shine - regular masks for coloured hair and a good heat protectant will be your best friend.
